We are pleased to announce that the G.A. Richards Group has received MillerKnoll Silver Supplier status recognition for the fiscal year ending 2026. This marks the third year in a row we have achieved this designation.
What Silver Status Means
Silver status is not a casual honor. It reflects consistent performance across all four of our contract furniture facilities.
To earn this recognition, each facility had to meet a specific set of requirements. First, we needed to hit on-time delivery targets for parts, assemblies and subcomponents. Second, the parts themselves had to meet stringent quality criteria. Meeting those quality standards across such a range of products requires a disciplined approach to manufacturing.
Our Partnership with MillerKnoll
We partnered with MillerKnoll to achieve cost savings throughout the year in addition to the operational metrics. This collaboration was not a one-time event. It represents an ongoing strategic alignment between our two businesses. The goal of that alignment is straightforward: both companies want to maintain their value in the marketplace over the long term.
Consistent Performance Across Our Facilities
This recognition reflects the work of our team across our contract furniture facilities. We employ over 300 people, with a significant portion of our workforce having been with the organization for more than 11 years. That level of experience contributes to the consistency needed to earn this kind of recognition year after year.
We have been operating for more than 125 years and our capabilities include metal fabrication, wood fabrication, CNC machining and assembly. We hold ISO 9001:2015 certification and, for our automotive work, IATF 16949:2016 certification. Those certifications provide a framework for the quality management systems that support the on-time delivery and defect-free products required for Silver status.
The Bigger Picture
Our strategic partnership with MillerKnoll is another piece of the picture. Cost savings do not happen by accident. They require collaboration between suppliers and customers to identify efficiencies in design, production and logistics. Our partnership with MillerKnoll is structured to generate those efficiencies while maintaining the quality standards that both companies expect.
Achieving Silver status for three consecutive years is a measure of consistency. It shows that our systems, processes and people are performing at a level that meets expectations year after year. For a company with over a century of history, that consistency is not something that happens by chance.
